Have you ever heard of Other Lives ?
This group of four guys and one girl gives you another definition of a boyband ! Indeed, these American guys with long beards offer a certain style of music, strongly inspired by Radiohead, as they claim.
According to me, their indie-rock music are really great, especially with the special instruments you will hear while listening... Jenny Hsu for example is playing cello, giving the songs its special characteristic.
Although the band was founded in 2006, it is only in 2012 that the band stepped out from shadow and was put in the spotlight with the album Tamer Animals, with the famous song For 12. If you are a huge fan of Grey's Anatomy, then you might have heard the band playing Black Tables in an episode in the beginning of the fifth season (have a look at the video below to remember it).
Other Lives is well known for being really amazing in concerts so if they're passing by your city, don't hesitate ! There are actuallyy on tour for the all summer, between some recordings in their studio. They are now preparing a new album I am thrilling to discover ! Their new single Reconfiguration was just released one month ago. You can discover it just below.
As you will notice in their videos, the band just takes you in their crazy world and make you wanna explore so many things...

Even if they knew success in 2012, they are still not very media-friendly, apart from the singer, Jesse Tabish, know for its grassy hair (well, that's a style you know).
Since 2014, it appears that Jenny Hsu and Colby Owens, the drummer, have left the band but didn't make an official annoucement...
